Michael W. “Mike” Werner joined USfalcon as Vice President, Army and Air Force Division in 2020. Mike has over twenty years in program management across the full lifecycle of hardware and software new development, operations maintenance and support, information technology, and professional services contracts. He has experience with legacy system life extension and replacement, COTS/GOTS/FOSS based command and control systems, and precision space rated hardware programs.
Before joining USfalcon, Mike held numerous Profit and Loss, Program Management, and Capture Management positions within Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Solutions, Space and Rotary, and Mission Systems business areas. There he delighted customers from USAF Space and Missile Center, Missile Defense Agency, USAF Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Intel Community, and NASA. His mission domain experience includes Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Space Situational Awareness and Defense, Global Positioning System, Space-Based Infrared Radar, and Protected Communications.
Following service in the Army, Mike worked for small businesses performing space exploitation experimentation with Army Space and Missile Defense Battle Lab, cybersecurity for the Ground-based Mid-course Defense system, information system infrastructure for Army Strategic Command, and commercial telecommunications consulting and middleware implementation.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master’s Information Systems from Colorado Technical University and a Master’s Business Administration in Finance from the University of Colorado. Following West Point, Mike served in the Army as an Armor and Cavalry officer. He held leadership and staff positions tactical through strategic levels, completing Ranger, Airborne, Air Assault and is Master Fitness Qualified.
Mike is a United States Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awardee for Volunteer Service. He serves as the United States Military Academy, West Point, Admissions Coordinator for the state of Colorado and volunteers for numerous other organizations. Mike is married to Jill and has a son entering college and a daughter who is a senior in high school.
