USfalcon, Inc. is seeking a Satellite Technician/Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide training, on-site installation and maintenance support for satellite systems in Iraq.

Requirements:

  • Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, test & evaluation of local and long haul communication systems, networks, computers, operations systems and software.
  • Hardware: Promina multiplexers, IDNX multiplexers, Harris Corporation multi-band satellite systems, Fore ATM Switch, cryptographic equipment, T-1, CSU/DSU, Lucent/ HomePoint, Sun Sparc workstations and servers.
  • Protocols/Services: TCP/IP, IPv6, ATM, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, VoIP, PPP, SLIP, DNS, SSL-TLS, FTP, TFTP, DHCP, SMB, LDAP, ISDN, DSL, X.25, HDLC, SDLC, ESF, B8ZS, H.323, G.723.1, 802.11a/b/g/, RS-232, RS-449, V.35, Frame Relay, Ethernet, FDDI, Arcnet, Token Ring, WIFI
  • Operating Systems: Unix, Solaris, HPUX, Linux, MS Windows XP/2000/NT/9x, OS/2Warp

Duties:

  • Support the 101st Airborne Division (satellite operators and leaders) with classroom and hands-on training.
  • Provide full assistance/guidance in the set up and establishment of the Harris Corporation (co-developed) Highband Networking Radio (HNR) system at the company level to interface with the battalion headquarters.
  • Deploy to Iraq with the 101st and provide on-site satellite maintenance support on an as needed basis to support a 12-hour/7-day per week schedule.
  • Interface with the General Dynamics FSR to ensure a solid link is established between the Joint Nodal Network (JNN) link and the HNR Systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting of the HNR Systems during operation.  
  • Responsible for field spares at the Brigade level. The FSR will have accountability for the field spares (3 HNR Systems), he will provide the Logistics Readiness Units (LRUs) out as necessary to get any field failures back on-line as quickly as possible.
  • Notify Harris of field failure, obtain an RMA number (call or website).
  • Return the field failures back to Harris via FedEx.
  • Receive repaired units, receive into stock. 
  • Participate in weekly telecom with Harris HNR team.
  • Coordinate the shipping and receiving of replacement components between the deployed locations and Harris Government Communication Systems Division (GCSD), Palm Bay, Florida.
  • Obtain and maintain appropriable industry certifications/qualifications.
  • Maintain outstanding professional relationships with client organizations.
  • Ensure the quality performance of all assigned engagements.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for USfalcon, Inc.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Harris Corporation supervisor.
